Bake a Way Today is a mentorship program designed for girls, ages 12-17, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Bake a Way Today fuses together social and emotional learning lessons with the therapeutic benefits of baking.

At Bake a Way Today, we're not just baking; we're crafting a recipe for inner strength, self-love, and resilience. Our workshops are held once a week for six transformative weeks. Topics of self-esteem and confidence, safe and smart decision making, and healthy relationships are the main components in the girls’ self-empowerment journeys.

The art of baking is our medium, a powerful catalyst that goes beyond the mixing bowl. It's about being present in the moment, savoring the journey, and infusing our creations with the positivity that life has to offer. As we whisk together ingredients, we're also whipping up confidence, community, and courage.

Bake a Way Today’s mission is clear—to infuse sweetness into the lives of the youth, not just through delectable treats but through the wholesome, fulfilling, and empowering relationships that blossom in our intimate group workshops.   • Tiffany Melendez, LSW

    Founder and Chief Baking Officer

    She is also the heart and soul behind Bake a Way Today—a visionary with a passion for baking that dates back to her childhood. Tiffany has a master’s degree in social work and is currently a Licensed Social Worker. With seven years of experience working with children and adolescents, Tiffany is equipped to be a change maker in the lives of these youth.
